11 Eye Facts You Didn’t Know About Until Now

How often do we stop to think about how significant our vision is to us? Probably never. We don’t count our ability to see as a blessing—which it is—unless we witness a severe visual disorder in someone. This is probably why most of us are unaware about the things our eyes can do and the different ways in which we can take care of them. Just like all other parts of our body, the health of our eyes also depends a little on what we eat. Recent studies show that the healthier you eat to keep your blood pressure and cholesterol low, the healthier eye-sight you have.

Here are some interesting facts about our eyes which every individual must be aware of.

  • Typically, a blink lasts for about 1/10th of a second.

  • The light-colored eyes can show up at any time in the later generations.
  • For individuals who have light-colored eyes, there exists a possibility to adapt to clothing or lighting. For instance, a green-colored eye may appear blue when the person wears a blue piece of clothing.
